Emails indenting

My emails have started indenting. The incoming mail has a blue line next to text at left side, when I type my reply the text goes further to the left past the blue line, I have tried settings, mail and unticked rich text unfortunately this has not solved my problem. This is happening on windows 10 on desktop, any advice would be most welcome

What e-mail client software and version are you using ?

Microsoft Outlook ? Thunderbird ? Gmail in a browser ?

it is an easy to resolve issue but we need to know more about your set-up.

Hi @mar53

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting, you can decrease and increase the indent in your reply using the two buttons I've highlighted with the arrow.
