I used microsoft outlook 2013 for a few years to access my bt webmail. I installed Microsoft 365 family. Now MS 365 outlook will not display the inbox subfolders. They are still there on webmail with all the messages contained therein. My wife was an alias in outlook 2013 and her subfolders show. Anybody any ideas?

Are you sure you have set it up as an IMAP account?

Do all the other folder synchronise?

Try making a new sub folder to see if that works. If it doesn't work on 365 make the folder on BTMail webmail. This may help identify where the problem is.

There is a setting with in email sync where connected accounts can be edited and deleted. But I cannot change the main account from pop3 to imap. It does seem significant that the alias for my wife is set to imap, and I can see her inbox subfolders. The incoming and outgoing ports are different for each address. Maybe the solution will become apparent to me in the morning or else someone might have a bright idea that I can try.

You can not change an accoung from POP3 to IMAP on the fly.

You need to delete the POP3 account and set it up as an IMAP account.
