New BT e-mail address

Sorry if I'm being thick but how do I create a new @btinternet address please? And then how do I use it to create a new Microsoft account with it.

I've just bought a new desktop for my daughter who does not currently have an e-mail address. In the setting-up process I perhaps stupidly entered a new btinternet address into the microsoft set up process but it now says it is sending a code to this address which, of course, I can't access!

I'd be grateful for advice

Hi @graeme57 you can create a new BT email address by following the guidance on this BT.com help page. You need to already have a BT email address as new customers can no longer create emails.

It's possible the email address you want will not be available if it's already been allocated to another customer.
