Sorry if its been asked before....BT premium email to basic...

Now im not self employed and a pensioner....

Im paying £7.50/month for premium BT email that i dont really need, how do i downgrade to basic, how do i check what my wifes email is in, is it part of mine or is hers free? we only pay 1 x £7.50

i think we were a yahoo account, i cant fine any open accounts...

how do i even tell if what im USING is bt premium?

If you log onto your MyBT and go to Your Products then "email, manage" it will show what type of email you have.

If your wife's email account was set up on your BT Broadband account it will be part of your BT Premium email account.

If you are on BT Premium email and no longer wish to have that you need to contact the BT Premium email team on 0808 100 6778 and cancel your BT Premium email account.

This should then cause the email account to be "downgraded" to BTMail Basic which is free of charge.

I don't have BT broadband

I did till a couple of years ago but the £7.50 has been going out since at least 2016 which is as far back I can look on the bank, ive a feeling its from 10 years ago, mybt has no payments showing

I've clicked on bills for 3 months. There's no bills no statements 0.00 balance

so, it seems when we last left BT (broadband) to keep our two email addresses we had to pay the £7.50 (x 1) per month but now they will change ststus to a basic free account, which ive requested...
