email 5.7.1 TLS 1.2+ required by recipient error

When sending to a particular email address from any of my @btinternet.com addresses, the email is rejected with the error "5.7.1 TLS 1.2+ required by recipient".

If I send from any of the same devices, be that phone, web (PC using Edge or Chrome) or outlook from a different email service, the message is accepted by the recipient.

Therefore the problem seems to be one with BT mail.

Any ideas?

I have this problem too. One particular company can't accept btinternet email address from phone or PC. But can email from other email addresses. Following you for a solution.

Simple, use Gmail
