Scam Email ¦ 'BT Email is Changing'

A SCAM EMAIL turned up in my 'Inbox', with the 'Subject' : 1 Voice Message Available. The 'From' indicated *********@icloud.com. Not a mention of BT, to be seen. 'View Source' was just as vague. The 'Text' alluded to dire consequences of having the email account deleted; if the email account wasn't confirmed, by clicking-links. RUBBISH TRY : NO CIGAR ! So I reported the email to Suspicious Email Reporting <noreply@phishing.gov.uk>, National Cyber Security Centre.

Please remove the scammers email address. It is against forum rules to post email addresses, even those of scammers.

A couple of weeks ago. I had the same type scam on a cellphone number, I use only as an 'emergency cellphone'. The scammer was lucky it was turned on, to receive the call. The call was meant to be stored: I couldn't absorb all the AI voice was directing towards me. "Ring this number, or you'll be cut-off, by the end of day". Googled the 07******** number; not associated with my cellphone provider. Reported to Vod*****.
How do I know 'voicecall/mail' is a scam; I don't do 'stored voice messages': talk & text is enough for my comms.

I noticed the moderated *********@icloud.com, email address. Google 'who owns icloud.com'; turns out it's 'Apple'. I feel sure that legitimate email addresses exist at icloud.com, under the 'Apple' umbrella. Unless of course the email address has been 'spoofed'. It's a sad old world out there: BAH-HUMBUG!
