Accessing an email account with an old phone number

I'm trying to help my father get into his email account again, but I'm unable to do a password reset for him as it's linked to an old number he doesn't have access to anymore

Is there anyone that can help me with this ? (I have Deputyship)

do you know roughly how long ago your father accessed the account as it could have been deleted

good question - I'm not sure, I guess around a year !?

if more that a year since accessing the email then good probability it as has been culled for lack of use
