IMAP Password & New Outlook Syncing

I currently use Outlook 365 for my BT email which I understand will not sync. outside outlook except for email.

1. Am I correct that the New Outlook will sync with non-email items (Calendar & Contacst) on my Android phone - if not how can I do this?

2. Tried setting up the New Outlook but requires my IMAP password - where can I find this?

It is your email password.

No idea why, it is your email password that is required.

I think we discussed something like this some months ago when I and others could not sync our iPhones. To be honest, I don't recall quite what was involved except it was to delete teh whole IMAP setup on teh phone and start again. Deleting involved putting in a deliberately wrong pw. But someone will recall what we did....
