I might be wrong about this, but I think that using a web browser to access BT email (which I'm assuming you're doing as you say you're accessing BTMail) always requires your password to be entered each time you login.

The way to get around this is to use an email client like Thunderbird. This saves your BT email password and automatically sends it each time it accesses the BT email server.
