The latest Microsoft Windows update is installing the latest Outlook email client on computers.

It may have changed your default app setting to make it the "default" email client. You may have to go into your Windows default settings and ensure that your chosen email client/app is selected as the default and not Outlook.

Just before 8am this morning (31/1) my BT E Mail icon disappeared to be replaced by Office Outlook. I was asked to migrate settings over to Outlook.

I haven't done so, but does anyone know why this has happened? Has Microsoft stopped supporting e mail accounts outside of Outlook?

Thanks

Thanks for your suggestion. I looked at my default Apps but can’t find anything that looked like my old Microsoft Mail app.

I reckon I may just have to live with unwanted ads.

thanks again.

Thanks @DeePee53, so in the past were you using the Microsoft Mail app to retrieve your BT emails?

Outlook is Microsoft's main email client so you should still be good to pair this with your BT email account.

Fingers crossed you'll not need it, but we have details of all the server setting should you need them here:

BT Email server settings | BT Help

If you were wanting to log in natively though, you can also do this via the BT webmail page too.
