sending attachments don't work, even to myself to check

I have a friend here in Edinburgh and another in Lerwick and I have tried countless times to send them an attachment but - even to MYSELF, I get NOTHING.

Are you an active BT broadband customer? Are you using btmail or a third party email like bluemail or thunderbird? What is file size of attachment?
