So are you still using a BTinternet email address - presumably you're paying for a Premium email in order to use an app. In my view your issue is with your ISP - not BT&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The issue is with BT, they brought in a safety measure which means if you change your password you will have limit capability to send emails for 7 days. You cannot send any for 24 hours. This may also occur if you try and send emails to a group of greater than 40. The reason given to me was that they are trying to stop spam mail when your email maybe hacked. It would also appear if you are overseas BT, using AI, may think your email has been compromised as it is using an unknown &amp;nbsp;area and will ask you to change your password. During the quarantine period you should still be able to receive emails. I hope this helps&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I suspect you have been given a load of BS and flannel.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If BT limit your sending of emails for 7 days that implies they are in effect happy for a hacked account to be used/accessed for 7 days by the hacker who compromised your account and managed to change the password or else it means they are happy to punish you for changing your password for what ever reason you changed it. ie routine security advice to change passwords.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The limit for sending group emails is 100 so why take exception if you send 40.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There have been some cases on the forum when an email account has been used, usually when a public wifi hotspot was being used locked when abroad but in all the years I have travelled abroad to various countries I have never had an issue and I am sure that is the case for most BTMail users otherwise I would have expected many many more reports on the forum.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In fact I am abroad at present and my email account is working without issue.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I would also expect BT to have announced these "security" changes if they are in fact genuine.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Perhaps a moderator could seek clarity on that and post here if it is the case.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Your comments are valid and I said exactly the same to BT about working from overseas and having a limit of 40. As I have not incurred this before when overseas and had often sent bigger &amp;nbsp;emails. However, I was told they had recently made the changes and was sent a copy of an internal memo confirming the new security protocol when you change your password. Also I was told in the small print they only guarantee emails in the UK not overseas and that &amp;nbsp;a group of 40 in one email was the maximum advised, although it may work with higher. The hacking would not be possible as your account would be frozen until you changed your password.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I understand you are only passing on what you were told but it does not make sense.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As regards the hacking, the whole point of a hack is your password has been compromised and as such the hacker has access to the account.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The hacker may not change the password but if he chooses he can change it preventing you,the person who was hacked from gaining entry to your account in order to change the password.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This is assuming you are aware it has been hacked meanwhile the hacker can use your account a steal your contacts,bank details etc.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The one thing I never took in to account was that this "new" security measure was brought in by BT so it will of course be flawed!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I can't find a solution anywhere on any of the threads relating to this issue in the BT Community. It all just seems to sort itself out eventually. I have cleared some of her emails, rebooted the hub (although the issue still exists when using mobile data), tried using different email clients on different devices and still nothing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am desperate.       <description>&lt;P&gt;I was told by BT this some times happens if you sent emails with a large number of recipients as there system thinks it is SPAM. This will freeze your account until you change your password. Not sure if this is the issue BT also told me to use a different email provider as this is not there main focus&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have just been speaking to BT. When he looked at my wife's email account,&amp;nbsp; it suggested that there were multiple password errors. She normally uses the Outlook client and just stays "logged in" so not sure why that happened.&amp;nbsp; Could be a BT security thing.&amp;nbsp; Although I haven't tried it yet,&amp;nbsp; the suggestion is to select "forgot password " in the BT webmail and set a new password and then try to send emails in webmail. If that works,&amp;nbsp; reflect the password changes in any other 3rd party email clients that are being used.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
