Autoforward not working (Gmail)

My BT Email no longer forwards to my Gmail and Gmail comes up as Server Unreachable when I try and pull email via Gmail. Its worked for the last few years but as of a couple a days it stopped. No blocked gmail servers etc in my email.

I'm not able to use the BT Email app as I regularly use a VPN (I travel a lot) which BT Email security is always upset by, resulting in password changes every couple of days.

I've got Basic email and wondered if forwarding is no longer a feature of that. Tried to upgrade to Premium Mail but the labrynthine BT website sadly offers no obvious way of doing this.

Any ideas? I'm currently overseas so would rather not have to spend 30 minutes on the phone sorting this out...

If you are using BTMail Basic it may well be that forwarding has been stopped as it was never intended to be a feature of Basic.
