Draft emails vanished

So ALL my draft emails bar 5 just disappeared. There were thousands 10 minutes ago. They're not in the trash. I use BT mail from my browser. Any thoughts anyone?

Are they old drafts that may be from a while ago? Do the 5 that have remained have anything in common?

No nothing at all, there are two weeks worth still on my phone app and it's 111 emails

One has to ask why you have 'thousands' of draft emails?

they mount up. Possibly more like a lot of hundreds of them. My brothers save for years and mine always have so I didn't expect it to suddenly empty itself.

Are you sure you mean Draft emails. Draft emails don't mount up, you complete them and send them surely.

Yes i'm sure. Mine do for multiple reasons. Like drafting a lot of different ones and starting again, I have health issues so often I write half and then go back to it or start over again. I guess it depends the purpose you use email for and other factors.
