      <description>In BT's usual confusing way, part of these notes about basic and premium email are contradictory:&lt;BR /&gt;"If you're leaving BT Broadband and want to get Basic email, you need to order it when cancelling your broadband. You can't make a direct switch later.&lt;BR /&gt;When your broadband service stops, we'll change your email service to Basic."&lt;BR /&gt;The second sentence contradicts the first. It's not clear whether, when you cancel BT broadband, you have to specifically order Basic email, or whether you get this automatically.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That has been pointed out previously but no action has been taken to update and amend the web page.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Previously you did have to order BT Mail Basic but that is no longer the case. Your BTMail email account(s) will be automatically "downgraded" to BTMail Basic when you leave BT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You will get the option via your MyBT to "upgrade" to BT Premium email when you actually leave BT. You can "upgrade" at anytime thereafter if you do not do it as soon as you leave BT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the option to "upgrade" does not appear in your MyBT you just need to call the number in the link to upgrade.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi. &amp;nbsp;Cheers for reply. But your reply also highlights the issue. “All your emails”.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;nowhere does it clarify that All in this case includes the ones you’ve “given” to others.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;on one hand BT make it clear that those are no longer mine. (Eg. If a friend chose not to use it they couldn’t give it back to me so I could use it).&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;on the other hand they say “all your emails” move to the Premium.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;we need clarity on what “All” means. Else my son will find he has no email when I drop broadband and move to premium email.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;BT have no idea who use the 11 emails that you can have.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any emails that you have set up are all part of your broadband account.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have "gifted" an email account using the correct procedure and the person has accepted the gifted email account they will have set up their own BTID and be able to manage it themselves but you still own it and it still counts as one of your 11 email accounts.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;See link about gifted email.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.bt.com/help/email/manage-email-account/account-set-up/how-do-i-create-and-activate-a-new-bt-email-address-" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://www.bt.com/help/email/manage-email-account/account-set-up/how-do-i-create-and-activate-a-new-bt-email-address-&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you have not gifted it it is still managed by you.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you chose not to move to premium email the user of the gifted email could move to Premium if they wanted. If they chose not to it would become a basic account.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If in any doubt call the BT Premium number in the link and ask them to clarify.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Been hanging on the line to get advice on where to sign up for BT Premium. Can only assume it's BT's way of dissuading customers to leave. All it needs is a simple URL to access signing up. Surely that's not too hard?</description>

      <description>Thanks for this - but been trying to phone – been online for 20 minutes and still nothing. Have now been informed that I have to wait until I'm advised by BT that my email account is being downgraded. Apparently, at this stage I can sign up for the Premium service. Just wish that all the info was there regarding what happens when you leave BT broadband. Thanks again.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've finally been able to speak to BT.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The option to sign up for Premium isn't&amp;nbsp;displayed for me at present.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm advised that option will only show after 30 days or so - hence my confusion.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm advised that BT will contact me after 30 days and, only then, the option to sign up for Premium will be available.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
