email outbox blocked

I sent several emails over the weekend all about golf. Most of the messages included a link to part of a website connected to the subject matter of my message. BT ended by blocking all outbound emails but has not sent me an error reference. I am still blocked even if the message has nothing to do with golf

When you say blocked, do you mean that you can not log onto your email account or that you can log onto your email account but after composing an email you can not send it?

If it is that you can not send it what happens to the email, does it end up in your sent folder?

Have you tried logging off your email account and restarting your device?

From my desktop or smartphone the composed email goes to outbox but wont send

Are you presently a BT Broadband customer or are you paying for your email through a BT Premium email account or did you migrate to EE Broadband?

If none of the above your email account may have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client or email apps such as those on mobile devices.

Have you checked that there are no emails stuck in the sent box on all your devices and if there are you will need to delete them.

I probably need to upgrade to premium as I came away from BT broadband about a year ago

Same here, emails with only a few lines, in outbox not getting sent, but the 1st email with attack I think maybe too big and is stopping the rest from going, but can’t delete anything from outbox

Are you using BT Webmail? Which BT Mail subscription do you have?

Got it sorted, deleted the bt mail app, left it a while then put it back on, all the emails that were stuck in outbox were then sent

I still seem to have problems forwarding emails to others where the incoming email includes a link

Did you upgrade to a BTPremium email account?

If you did not upgrade and are you are still using BTMail Basic that could be your problem.

BTMail Basic does not support forwarding although some users have found that it does still work so it may be that the forwarding is not "working" fully as it should. ie it should block all forwarding.
