Have you checked to see if you can set up your BTMail accounts in gmail as IMAP accounts rather than POP3?

You can set up your BTMail account in webmail to access other email accounts in the same way as you did with gmail however I would suggest that the best option is with an email client.

I use Thunderbird on my computers and laptops to access BTMail and gmail accounts and I have never had any issues with it in all the years that I have been using it.

On my Android phone I use the BlueMail app and again I have had no issues with it.

I can't access any of my 5 BT email accounts for the last 4 hours. Using the BT webpage/mail, or my gmail account (linked to download them), or Thunderbird, nothing will fetch my BT emails. This applies on my desktop PC & android phone.

Having wasted hours on this sort of thing over many years, only to find that there was 'an issue' outside of my control, is anyone getting this problem or is it just me? I've had phone calls asking me if I got the mails they sent.

🤔

No issues with my accounts.

When you try on your phone are you using your home's wifi connection or are you using your mobile network? If it is the wifi connection try using your mobile network connection.

Thanks, so it's just me then, which is always a useful thing to know!

The only clue I have is that I use gmail to access 1 gmail address, and 5 BT ones, the latter being forwarded by gmail's 'check mail from other accounts' feature, which is now working OK again, but everything was going into 'all mail' which I rarely look at, and which doesn't give a notification of incoming, so I missed it.

However, gmail has just announced via email and the gmail settings;

Gmail will no longer support checking emails from third-party accounts through POP.

The option to 'Check mail from other accounts' will no longer be available in Gmail on your computer.

I'll be able to use my gmail app on my android apparently, but I need to use my PC most of the time for a number of reasons. So, I'm now looking for a new email client, maybe Thunderbird, for a seamless, single point of acccessing all of my email accounts. Recommendations from anyone gratefully recieved!

Yes, setting up the emails with IMAP instead of POP3 was the first thing I hoped for, but I just can't find how to do it. 😒
