Talk21 emails migrated

Today our talk21.com email address stopped syncing with Outlook. When I checked the emails were arriving into my online talk21.com account but had stopped syncing with Outlook.

I called BT who told me that all email services including talk21 had been migrated to a company called Network Solutions and I needed to call them. When I asked for the number they gave me a US number to call. Further research suggested that Business customers may have been migrated but residential (including Talk21) should still be with BT
I also came a cross a page on my account that said something about basic email being free and needing to upgrade to a £7.50/month plan in order to enable outlook sync. I tried to explore this option but when I went to upgrade it would not allow me

Does anyone know whats going on and how I could resolve this? I cannot seem to find the right phone number to call for real help.

Are you currently a BT broadband customer, if not BT are not obliged to keep your associated email ‘live’ but as a gesture it is , but it can’t be accessed via an email client unless you pay to upgrade email access

Your talk21 email account may now be classed as a BT email basic account which means it can not be used with an email client or email apps and only via webmail.

I do not know if a talk21 email account can be "upgraded" to a BT Premium email account however see link regarding BT email products and the phone number how to order a BT Premium email account.

If you contact the BT Premium email team they should be able to advise you and if you can be upgraded please post back as it may be useful information for other users.
