Deleting Emails

I haven’t used my BT email address for quite a while. I want. My inbox contains over 1000 emails. I want to delete everything but don’t know how. Other community comments say that if you haven’t signed into your email account after 150 days, everything will be deleted. That is not the case with my account. It has been over a year since I used my account but all the emails are still there. How can I empty my inbox and start using my account afresh?

If you want to have the BTMail email account deleted you should call the BTMail email Team 0330.1234.150 and ask them to delete it.

If you are only wanting to delete the contents of the Inbox you can not do that in one click.

You would need to try the following.

If you want to delete multiple emails try the following

If you hold down the shift key then tick the box to the left of the first email you want to delete in the list of emails then scroll down using the scroll bar on the right hand side or use the PgDown key and tick the last email you want to delete then release the shift key. It will select all the emails in between. You can then click delete or drag and drop them into the Trash folder.

When selecting the emails keep the number less than 150 at a time.

You can also tick the box in the menu bar above the boxes you have been ticking and that will select all the viisible emails in your list.

If you have not used the email account within the previous 150 days as per the following link you may find that you can not access the email account in which case you would need to call the BTMail Email Team.
