How do I turn off the 'optional' two factor authentication? I holiday in mobile blackspot so cannot rely on receiving a passcode. when I go to edit two factor authentication I only get option to change the phone number.

BT changed the security of their email system to having 2FA at the start of April this year.

For the vast majority of users the change went ahead without issue however for a number of users there have been some problems.

BT are apparently working on a fix but as yet there is no information when this fix will be rolled out.

There are numerous threads on the forum regarding it and some contain more information that may be of interest.
