Last week I reported a fault. At some time whilst I was progressing this a screen came up telling me I now had two step authentication. I didn't ask for it, I don't want it, and I can't remember giving my mobile no. to BT but they have it.

Most of my email is dealt with from my desk top and a lot of the time I don't even know where my mobile is (In the last three weeks I've made £1.40 worth of calls on P.A.Y.G.).

Can I refuse it? And if so how.
