Font size of sent emails

DarrenHay — Wed, 07 Oct 2026 10:48:20 GMT

Hello,

Can anyone help with this.

In an email string of a few emails between myself and a recipient, at some point the font of the text I send is expanded hugely so that the recipient can not read it.

There's no indication that this is going to happen. It's only when I've sent an email and I then get an email back to say 'I can't read your email' that I find out.

Is there a fix to this?

Thanks,

Darren

For a start, how are you composing and sending (and receiving) your emails?

Are you using an email app on a phone or tablet (and, if so, which one), Webmail or an email client (such as Outlook) on a laptop or PC?

Hello Andy,

I'm composing them mostly on a laptop and I sign into and use BTEmail.

Occasionally I'll send from my iphone or ipad.

I'm not sure if I replied properly. Here's what I meant to reply with.....

Thanks for confirming that for us, @DarrenHay

Have you noticed any pattern with which device the offending emails are being sent from, or have both been affected?

Hello Peter,

I think that it's very largely, if not all, when emails are composed on my laptops.

Thanks, @DarrenHay

Just so I can be sure I've got the right end of the stick too, does everything look normal when you're composing, and then does this issue with the font show when you view the email in your sent folder?

Also do you know if any other recipients are noticing the same issue when receiving from you?

Peter

Thank you Peter,

That's it as you describe.

It only happens after a few emails have built up between myself and a recipient. For example, we may have emailed each other twice, then in my fifth email, the font changes.

Everything looks normal when I compose that fifth email and I send it.

It's only when the recipient contacts me that I know there's a problem.

This happens all the time now, so I get to the point where I just compose a new email. I'd prefer not to do that as the chain's lost, but......

Thanks,

Darren

Cheers @DarrenHay , so is this visible at your end too?

Also do you know if multiple recipients are affected?

I'm keen to get this checked for you, but we do need to rule out it being an issue at their end, too.

Hi Peter,

Yes, I would say that in the scenario I've explained, it happens to all recipients.

Nice one, I'll get this flagged for you now, @DarrenHay

Is the affected email address the same one that's linked to your Community profile?

If I need anything further, I'll let you know too

Peter
