    <description>&lt;P&gt;you don't need an engineer visit for digital voice installation&amp;nbsp; provided you have a SH2 with green phone socket on back just a matter of disconnecting existing phone from wall socket and connecting to the socket on back of SH2.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;once DV active then you can get an adapter&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;You can order one adapter for free from bt.com/DVequipment, or TEXT the word ADAPTER to 61998&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Advised that an engineer would contact to instal D V&amp;nbsp; by email dated16.10.24 ... so far nothing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Today .. post card delivered saying it was possible to order free adaptor . no luck on line and phone number given( 0800 783 1401 ) has lengthy queue .. gave up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggestions as to find current situation ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards JCW&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry. ..... BT advised me by letter dated Oct 24, that&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. "..we'll be in touch to arrange for an engineer to install Full Fibre at your property"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. " You'll select a day and engineer will come and carry out the work .."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3. " You can sit back and relax ..."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then received card guide giving all the fabulous features ... but no action !&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Tried to obtain adapter ... phone continually engaged.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How is this to be advanced .. by who ... and when ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Zoom vans&amp;nbsp; are all around here, doing installation in a day, at a lower price with many converts from BT ... who could blame them ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Been with BT for&amp;nbsp; more than 40 years and always had a high opinion .. this is the worst&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Safecontractor&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just to clarify things…&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The confusion here comes about because BT and/or Openreach, (separate companies), are very keen to do the conversion to Fibre and DV at the same time.&amp;nbsp; In fact, DV does not require full fibre and will run quite happily over the old copper.&amp;nbsp; The upgrade to DV does not require an engineer visit.&amp;nbsp; The upgrade to full fibre will.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sorry, I know that doesn’t get you any further forward but it should help reduce future confusion.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for that ... it is frustrating to be told to " sit back and relax " ....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. ..........not knowing if plans for installation / up grade are going ahead and to wait it out ..or&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. ......... how / who in&amp;nbsp; / where&amp;nbsp; BT is to be contacted.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone any ideas or experience ????&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You are conflating two things , Digital Voice doesn’t need an engineer visit ( you don’t need an engineer visit to remove your phone cord from the wall socket and plug it into the router socket ) but FTTP does need an engineer visit for the initial installation, your &amp;nbsp;post stated you were getting an engineer visit for DV ( not true ) you then quote the communication that clearly states&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. "..we'll be in touch to arrange for an engineer to install Full Fibre at your property"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;DV and FTTP are not the same thing , DV doesn’t need FTTP , &amp;nbsp;initially you didn’t mention FTTP .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is this conversion to FTTP effectively out of the blue ( no contact to renew your contract or take ( or remove) other services ? or it a consequence of you contacting BT , or BT &amp;nbsp;contacting you , and whatever was agreed regarding service , came with a &amp;nbsp;migration to FTTP ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;Generally speaking , no one is just contacted by BT or Openreach &amp;nbsp;’ out of the blue ‘ and told ‘we have decided, without your consent or agreement , to change you to FTTP ‘ .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Depending on what’s required, an Openreach FTTP installation will be no slower than Alt Nets , obviously you don’t know the lead time between this Alt Net taking an order and completing it , and although it may seem attractive to order on Tuesday and be installed on Wednesday ( as an example ) it doesn’t bode well for the long term sustainability of that Alt Net if they are so under occupied with work they can install so quickly, as a ( admittedly poor ) analogy, if you needed a plumber and rang around , the decent ones ( that get work from recommended and repeat business ) are not likely to be available immediately, the cowboy on the other hand that doesn’t get recommended or repeat business will be ‘around in five minutes’ .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
