Registering a BT DECT repeater with a SMART Hub 2

This is a follow up to a previous question. The range on my SMART Hub 2 was insufficient to reach the workshop at the bottom of the garden, so it was suggested I get a BT DECT Repeater.

That I now have done, however I cannot get it to register, so the question is, am I a numpty, or is the repeater at fault? Note, I have 4 phones, all register with the SH2, so it must be transmitting something!

BT DECT Repeater - Item Code 064550

I assume any BT DECT Repeater should work? Is that my error? (Don't Assume!!!)

1. Press WPS button on SH2, blue light around button flashes. Plug in the DECT Repeater, red/blue light flashes continuously - never does three blue flashes or steady blue

2. Plug in DECT Repeater, press Setup Button for 5s. Red/blue flashes, never flashes blue 3x or goes a steady blue.

So, is it the repeater (wrong model), the repeater (faulty) or me (Faulty!)?

As far as I'm aware DECT repeaters don't appear to be compatible with the DECT base station built into the hub.

If you use a normal DECT base station plugged into the green socket of the hub rather than using Digital Voice handsets, the repeater should work.

Thank you, 0/10 for compatibility then! In your opinion, could I have a DECT base station (e.g. Diverse 7400) plugged in the green socket, a DECT repeater and a second Diverse 7400 phone in the workshop without the Diverse DECT conflicting with the SMART Hub DECT?

I run a Panasonic base station plugged into the green socket and there is no conflict. The SH2 DECT is a different frequency.

Yes, I also run a DECT base station as well as DV handsets.

Same here. There's one small issue in that a call answered on the DV handset is likely to show as a missed call on the others.
