17070 service

Has the 17070 service been shut down recently? I remember it working fairly recently, then as of yesterday, when dialled, all I get is the familiar 'number you have dialled is not recognised' tone.

Is this a problem with my line. I am on FTTC PSTN.

EDIT: The service works when I dial 020 8759 9036, which is the number to dial on LLU lines. But my line is with BT and 17070 has always worked? Mystery. Any ideas?

Mine didn't work when I first moved to Digital Voice but I've just tried it again now and it does work. I'm sure it didn't in the couple of months after the switch. Perhaps it is a fault with the system.

17070 is an Openreach line test facility. I've just had an unwelcomed line renumber and have just tried it. It still works for me.
