Are Vodafone and BT's digital voice the same?

I saw Vodafone refer to their landline technology as digital voice, is that the same technology and would the DV BT phones work with the Vodafone hub?

Same technology but different. BT has its own bespoke system that is not compatible with Vodaphone.

If you are persistent enough, you can get Vodafone to give you the sign-in details for their industry-standard VoIP digital phone service. You cannot currently do the same with BT, though they may be forced to open up the service at some future time.

Thanks, guess I was hoping for too much expecting to be able to use the phones.
