    <description>&lt;P&gt;I suspect you don’t really appreciate how these things ‘work’ not having a phone service doesn’t mean you don’t need to pay for a landline , as it’s &amp;nbsp;still delivering your broadband service ….if you actually mean do you need a telephone service and do you need to pay for it , no one with BT needs to have a phone service with BT anymore.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you don’t want a phone , you don’t need to take it , the saving is around £3 a month (that’s the value of a phone service without any included calls ) .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Because in the past a landline primarily delivered a phone service and the add on service was broadband some still think remove the ‘landline’ &amp;nbsp;removes the ‘line rental’ but if you give it a even a moments thought , if you don’t have a ‘line’ how do you think broadband gets to your home …all that happened is broadband is the reason to have a ‘line’ and telephone is the optional add one , rather than the way it was , phone the main reason , broadband the add on&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
