I can't register my Panasonic KX-TGE823 DECT with my smart hub 2

I can't register my Panasonic KX-TGE823 DECT with my BT smart hub 2, I have plugged the phone base into green socket in the hub as instructed. There is no response from phone or base just a message that says "Check Phone Line" I tried to register the phone on the BT Home Hub logging in with my admin password but it didn't register or respond. Any help appreciated thanks

It would appear that Digital Voice is not enabled yet on your line. Does the hub show your phone number or 'not configured' ?

Once DV has been configured, you simply plug the base station into the green socket, you don't register the handset to the hub, it remains registered to the base station

I already have the Digital Voice activated as I have been using the 2 DV phones I got from BT.

I did plug the base station straight into the green socket on the rear, but nothing happened other than the msg check phone line.

I will see if I can find a different cable in case the one that came with phone is faulty,
