    <description>&lt;P&gt;It's not unusual for the master socket to have spare wires that are not connected.&amp;nbsp; You only need one pair connected to the socket and the other pairs are effectively spares in case the first pair fail.&amp;nbsp; If the black and green pair are connected, you probably also have an orange and white pair spare.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not sure why you would want to remove them?&amp;nbsp; Are we talking about the wires coming in from outside?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>5C master socket question</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi I have a 5C connected by green and black.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;nothing else is connected to the socket but I have these other cables which look like they are for sockets in the house.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;they are not connected to the master. I want to remove them.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looking for guidance Thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Yes main cable from outside is connected to the box (green&amp;amp;black)&lt;BR /&gt;There are two further cables in the box connected to each other but not to the master socket. I would like to strip them out as they emerge from the floor through a floor board.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If these other cables were for extension sockets but are not connected at the master socket , then they are yours to do with as you please .&lt;/P&gt;</description>
