Swiss numbers blocked on UK landline

Since September my calls (and those of my family) to Mum's landline in the UK are being blocked. We can ring her mobile but at 92 she prefers the landline because of the size of the receiver. How can those calls be unblocked?

@Cashy Calls to BT landlines from abroad are sometimes blocked because of active BT Call Protect settings, Call Barring features or anti-fraud rules introduced by OFCOM to all ISP's a while back to help prevent spoofed calls from abroad.
