Digital Voice - same phones or different?

I have a question regarding Digital Voice, which seems to be coming our way.

I don't have it yet, but from the posts it sounds like I will have to have new equipment plugged into our phone sockets to pair it with. I understand we will get some sort of hub to connect to the phone socket (I assume that must be into the master socket?) for it to work?

I currently have a BT Decor 2200 telephone, so my question is, will we have to have completely new phones for Digital Voice to work or can we carry on using the same telephones connected to this new equipment we will be getting?

are you currently a BT broadband and phone customer? if only phone and no broadband then unlikely you will be moved to DV at present

Only a phone customer - but I hear we are all being moved to Digital Voice or maybe I got that wrong?

openreach are closing down the PSTN and customer will need to move to VOIP - digital voice with BT if currently BT customer however customers with phone only will be the last to move so I would not worry about it as few years away yet

With DV you may use your existing handset which need to be plugged into the BT Hub that will come with DV. You may also be given a separate VoIP phone which you may use as well.

O.k Thank you. I heard people talk about the VoiP phone, which made be wonder if we had to use new phones but as you say, if I can carry on using the same handsets as I have already then that is good.
