DIGITAL VOICE CALL ANSWERING

Hi ,

Recently converted to Digital Voice , all ok but unsure on one aspect.

On my old set up Dect Phone , when a caller was leaving a message I could hear it being left and decide at that point if it was a from a scam type caller ; on the DV handset I cant do this and can only delete the call once a message has been left.

Is it possible to restore this feature on the DV phones or is it simply not available , I have looked in the Handbook and cant find an answer.

No, because the answering is done remotely by the 1571 service, not locally on an answering machine.

If you prefer, you can still plug your old DECT base station into the green socket at the rear of the hub and use that instead of the DV handsets. Set the number of rings before the answering machine cuts in to a lower value than 1571.
