We've had exactly this problem for years. Landline currently unusable yet again following last week's heavy rain. Could someone please pick up my case the way they did for the OP? Thanks.

I moved you post to start your own thread as the other one was almost a year old

if you currently have noise on your line have you reported the fault to 151 or use the 'help' at top of page then 'raise a fault'

the mods normally only help after normal channels have been tried
