Running two hubs ?

I’m running a Linksys router and mesh network, plugged directly into the OR wall box.

I’ve been told the system is moving to digital voice and been sent a SH2 and Voice phones.

I understand that the phone will only work with the SH2

My question is, can I connect the SH2 to a second port on the wall box and use the hub only for calls ? I have connected it but get orange light, can’t seem to connect the phone to it. Am I trying to do something that just will not work ?

You cannot plug the Smarthub 2 into a second port as you have suggested.

If you want to have Digital Voice, the Smarthub has to be the first device after the digital modem.
