It’s possible that porting your existing phone number to a VoIP provider will result in the broadband service that is sat on top , being ceased .

If you intend to port the phone number so that you don’t have to use the BT Smart Hub 2 ( presumably it’s DV telephony you would be getting or already have ) , then the ‘new’ broadband package may as well be the ‘No telephony’ option as that’s a little cheaper , no point paying for DV ‘telephony’ then not being able to access it by not using the SH2.

Presumably, If I want to use a different router than the BT full fibre one, I should port my number to a voip supplier first and then apply for Full Fibre broadband only?

Any problems from experience or foreseen?
