      <description>Can you post a photo of it here please? There are several versions of the master socket (which you certainly should not cut) depending on when it was installed.&lt;BR /&gt;RIC9380&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Master socket (like mine) by the look of it.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;T&lt;/SPAN&gt;he master socket is the one that will feed any extension sockets.&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp; BT says:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;It's always best to connect your BT Hub to the master socket if you can&lt;/STRONG&gt;. This is where the broadband signal is strongest, before it goes through any other home wiring.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Not to be tampered with really.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Other, more technical members may be able to offer further advice.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;RIC9380&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That is a main socket however although there are wires connected on the "output" there are no wires connected on the input. Suggest you find out where that cable goes to in your house and disconnect there before removing that socketm&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As long as you have full fibre to the premises and are not using your copper line for anything I don't see a problem cutting out that socket.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;You can just cut it. If its still connected to the exchange, there is only 50 Volts on it so its harmless.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
