Digital phone answer phone

Have just changed to fibre and received digital phones as the answer phone does not appear to auto kick when not answered how do I turn it on and should the tape sign be lit when a message has been left

If you go to MYBT then manage package then digital voice you should be able to set number of rings before answering service pick up call

From memory the symbol does illuminate when there is a message
