&lt;P&gt;This is just a customer to customer help forum, everyone here, including myself, are just customers.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The only BT Employees are the forum moderators.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I assume you are a BT Retail Customer?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately it can take quite a while for Openreach to replace a damaged pole which would be serving customers of multiple providers.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You can ask for a free divert of incoming calls to a mobile phone.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>How long does it take BT to mend a phone line cable</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;A car drove into the BT telephone pole carrying our phone landline on the evening of Wednesday 15 feb23.. &amp;nbsp;police involved. &amp;nbsp;Next day Thursday 16 feb open reach engineers came to saw down half shattered pole and make e ose overstretched and broken telephone lines safe.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;since then and we are on Saturday 4 March the updates have been varied, mostly in days, no mention of working days, so no idea of when.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I phoned on a mobile last week &amp;nbsp;to hurry things along, something about all will be fixed on 8 March, but today Saturday I am given 5 days. &amp;nbsp;It’s just so frustrating. &amp;nbsp;I have a sick husband who no way could use a mobile phone, &amp;nbsp;and if I am out of the house he can’t get hold of me in an emergency.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;why can a simple line mend take so long? &amp;nbsp;The man on phone said something about a junction exchange &amp;nbsp;box in a local village as an excuse&lt;/P&gt;</description>
