Hi guys

I know outgoing calls have to include the area code, just like using a mobile. But does someone within the same area code need to use the code to phone you? Previously you would just phone the number minus the code.

Secondly if the full code is needed does the caller get any kind of message telling them that, or do we have to let everyone know?

Thanks

The full national number has to be used otherwise it will not be recognised.

The caller will not be told that they must use the full code so you will need to tell your contacts that normally just use the "shortened" number.

You should advise the local contacts who use their home phone that they now need to use the full dialling code when phoning you
