Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

The most effective phone is the BT4600 cordless. Its 100% effective in blocking scam callers, as it forces them to announce themselves, which they never do. It still allows people you have stored in the phone`s directory to get through right away.

Hi all

need some advice / suggestions please.

my elderly cousin has a BTlandline that she wants to keep. She has BBand too. She is getting a lot of scamming calls . Today , I guided her how to add this latest number to her blocking list. Is there anything else that I can suggest to her to avoid the stress of this.
I have heard of something where her incoming calls go via a call centre ? , so the calls are checked before being routed to the recipient,

also , she has a good old wired push button phone and wondering if there’s a clever cordless phone I can suggest

any thoughts greatly appreciated

Also have a look at the TrueCall standalone device. It would be easier to manage remotely but has a £20pa subscription after the first year. There's also an enhanced "Secure" model but that's more expensive both to buy & for the subscription.
