Thanks John, I have replaced the batteries for her, but still same problem. Tried BT help - they suggest there is a problem with the phone which is just out of warranty. Just wondering, as it's a trio set, whether we could get away with buying a new single phone and base set and adding the other 2 existing phones to it.

Hello, My 93 year old mother has a BT4600.

Recently it has started to cut her off during longer calls, the handset stating 'synching data'. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it?? I witnessed it myself when she was in a phone queue for the doctors surgery. After waiting for 17 minutes and reaching no. 5 in the queue the phone cut off to 'synch data' and wouldn't let her redial the number for a couple of minutes ....... obviously she was back to number 16. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Chrissie275, Is it happening on all 3 handsets? If so then you could get a single handset set up and reprogram the other handsets to use on the new base.
However, if it's only happening on 1 handset then you could get an additional handset and add it to your existing set up. The quick set up user guide on the above link outlines how you can add additional handsets.

Cheers
