I use a BT Smart Hub 2 which has a Digital Voice slot to plug in a phone. Can I just plug in my corded landline phone and use it for Digital Voice. I have been a customer of BT for many years and want to avoid unnecessary expense. My Broadband runs on copper wires which is totally acceptable to me.

The phone port on the SH2 will only work if you have been migrated onto Digital Voice , if your voice service is still PSTN then you cannot use the SH2 for telephony yet .
There is no unnecessary expense, the cost is the same for telephony regardless of it being on DV or PSTN .

Thank you for the excellent information and advice. Now I know exactly what to do when I am migrated. Brilliant.
