Converted to digital voice today

I have a Bt3660 cordless phone. Now converted to digital voice today but have ringing tone on my phone when testing it out. Any comments or suggestions would be helpful. 75 year old technophobe!!!

Have you plugged the phone into the green socket on the router? It may be covered with a sticky label

What do you mean ringtone ?, when you try to make a call are you saying instead hearing dialtone , you get a ringtone , ( ring , ring , pause , ring , ring ) etc , or is it a two tone dialtone , if it’s modulated ( 2 tone ) dialtone it probably means you have a message to listen to on your answer service ( BT 1571 answer service is included with Digital Voice ) ..dial 1571 to hear it .

As already stated , presumably your phone is now connected to the router , and not still in the previous wired phone socket
