I have opted to move to digital voice and a new home hub 2 is in the post. I am keeping my own handsets, which are BT8500 digital cordless ones. I understand my main phone, which will be next to the new hub will plug directly into that. As a geriatrically challenged person I would appreciate any confirmation of how the other cordless phones connect and remain useable. Thank you.

Simply unplug the base station from its current phone socket and plug it in the green socket at the rear of the Smart Hub 2.

Simple answer is that the hub essentially replaces the BT socket on your wall. Instead of plugging the "main" cordless phone into the wall socket you plug it into the back of the Smart Hub. Then, your other phones will connect to the main one in the same way that they do now, no reconfiguration required.

Only thing you need to remember to do is to always dial area codes when you dial numbers. So, for example if you're in Manchester and have an 0161 number and want to call someone else who has an 0161 number, previously you didn't have to dial the 0161 prefix, but now you do. If you have a mobile it will be the same as using one of those if you see what I mean.
