Full Mailbox

My very elderly mother as a 4600 phone, but can no longer receive messages. When she cannot answer, the answer machine activates, then states ‘Mailbox full’. However, the handset and base unit show there are No messages. Unfortunately she has poor eyesight, and uses 1471 to establish caller, and presses 3 to callback, getting charged to do so !

How do I empty the mailbox, when there is nothing apparently stored?

If the phone's own answering machine is empty have you checked 1571?

It was indeed a 1571 issue, so all messages now deleted and free mailbox to be utilised now. Thanks👍
