Hands free not working

When I press hands free the phone switches off & says it’s synchronising handset data and reverts back to handset 1 ???

any advice thanks

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

Based on what has been posted before, I would suspect faulty batteries in the handset, as switching to hands free, will use more power and the batteries cannot cope, so it resets.
