Digital voice phones - extension query

I need new phones so looked at getting Digital Voice phones as my line has been converted to DV. However how does having an extra handset in another room work? I understand the DV phone has to be plugged into the router so how does for instance a bedroom extension phone connect?

The digital voice phone are not wired to the SH2 they connect by DECT so just like normal cordless phones allowing you to move around your home
