BT voice speakerphone

When I answer one of my 3 bt digital voice phones it is always in speakerphone mode. Although I can turn it off after I answer the phone how do I stop it answering in speakerphone as the default?

Does it go to speaker as soon as you lift it from the cradle or when you press the green button? If the latter it could be the auto answer setting is turned on. So the call is actually answered when you lift the phone & then pressing the green button turns on the speaker. This is described on P,25 of the manual.

If not that then try a reset of the handset, described on the same page.
