Recently connected to Digital Voice. Since then my phone will not show caller i.d. when using DV adapter. When phone connected directly to BT Hub, caller i.d. works fine.

Any solution?

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

This has been reported before. Some phones to not recognise the method the DV adapter uses for CLI, as I think they rely on a polarity change prior to the first ring, which the DV adapter does not provide.

I suspect its an older phone you are using. I do not believe a solution has been posted.

The polarity change was a hangover from the original mechanical Strowger exchanges, and I think it continued on System X exchanges, as it was needed for the old Pay On Answer payphones to open the coin slots. Some people may remember those.
