Master socket wiring

I have accidentally disconnected the wiring to my master socket while decorating. The socket itself is undamaged but the two incoming wires going to the master socket have become disconnected and I'm not sure which ones need to be used. It looks like the blue and white with blue were previously used but I'm not sure. Can any one advise if this is correct and if so does polarity matter when reconnecting them?

I don't think there's a standard, so trial & error. Polarity is unimportant.

Yes, it will be the blue and blue/white pair. It is not polarity conscious.
